Okara burgers made with Laura® Soybeans!
Recipe:
In a large bowl combine
1 and 1/2 cup of okara (solids left after making soymilk)
2 cups cooked brown rice
1/4 cup whole wheat flour (oat flour if avoiding gluten)
1/2 cup nutritional yeast (you may vary for your own taste)
1 TBSP Dijon Mustard
1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup cooked corn (or you may use other additives instead of corn, perhaps red peppers or onions)
1/4 cup yellow corn meal
1/4 cup potato flakes
mix together and form into patties.
bake on tinfoil lined cookie sheet for 25 minutes at 400 degrees F. If you would like, you may flip the burgers halfway through.
