2018 Laura® Soybean Crop Update

After a long and rainy spring planting season I am happy to report that the 2018 crop of Laura® soybeans looks good.  The beans are healthy and the purple flower of the Laura® soybean can be seen up and down the stem of the plant.  The flowers will eventually grow into pods which will fill with soybean seeds.  By late September the pods will be completely full, thick and green.  By the first or second week in October the plant will turn brown and the pods will naturally dry in the field.  The dry pods will easily open when harvested leaving the naturally dry Laura® soybeans that will make the great tasting Laura® soybean milk.  I will keep posting as the season progresses. 🙂
